FLY SL

NP HIGH LIFT CONCEPT
Drawing inspiration from the proven first generation FLY, the new Fly SL evolves the concept with flatter entry sections and increased canopy tension - this makes the wing point higher into the wind and extends the range while still retaining the responsive easy handling and early take off.
HYBRID TRANSVERSE PANELING
The Fly SL paneling combines transverse paneling for maximum shape holding and durability with 3 shaping seams for precise control of shape distribution and twist.
CARBON ERGO HANDLES
NeilPryde carbon handles are a lightweight and durable evolution of our industry leading design. They feature our drop grip, optimized and – in combination with our strut design – create an ergonomic shape for maximum comfort.

Designing a lightwind wing presents unique challenges, particularly in maintaining manageable handling despite the naturally large sizes required. For the SL wing, we focused a lot on keeping the span and overall size compact and manageable, ensuring it remains easy to pump and position for optimal performance. Weight is another critical factor in lightwind wings, as excessive weight reduces the handling, the maneuverability and eliminates the benefits of a larger surface. To maintain this balance, we opted to limit the SL wing’s size to a maximum of 8 square meters.
By addressing these design challenges, we’ve created a lightwind wing that delivers exceptional performance while remaining user-friendly and practical for everyday riders.

FLY III vs FLY SL
The Fly SL leverages the NP high lift concept but is optimized for down range flying with flatter entry sections, slightly lower aspect ratio and reduced wing sweep to keep the center of effort evenly balanced between both hands.

FLY SL
KEY FEATURES
Carbon Ergo Handles: The Fly SL II continues to feature NeilPryde’s carbon ergo handles, renowned for their lightweight, durable construction. These handles, combined with the optimized strut design, provide a comfortable and ergonomic grip, allowing for maximum control and ease of use during extended sessions.
Building on the NeilPryde high lift concept, the Fly SL II’s updated design includes flatter entry sections and increased canopy tension. These adjustments enable the wing to point higher into the wind, extending its range and enhancing its performance in light wind conditions, while still delivering the early take-off and responsive handling that the Fly series is known for.
The wing’s hybrid transverse paneling combines durability with precision, using three shaping seams to control shape distribution and twist. This ensures that the Fly SL II maintains its form and performance, even in challenging conditions.
The Fly SL II’s PVC windows offer maximum visibility and safety on the water, without compromising on strength. These windows are strategically placed to provide a clear view of your surroundings, giving you the confidence to navigate with ease.
As a member of the renowned FLY family, the Fly SL II inherits the legacy of proven performance and relentless development that defines the Neil Pryde brand. Whether you’re pushing the limits of light wind foiling or simply looking for a wing that delivers when the wind is low, the Fly SL II is engineered to meet your needs.
