Pelzerhaken, Germany — Neilpryde team rider Leo Richter delivered the standout performance of the Fin Slalom fleet at the season-ending stop of the California Windsurf Cup, held from August 27 to 30 in the Baltic seaside resort of Pelzerhaken.
Competing in a discipline that finally got the conditions it needed after being limited to just one event all season due to light winds, Leo made the most of the opportunity. Across ten Fin Slalom eliminations — the most held at any single stop in 2026 — he posted three heat wins along with three second-place and three third-place finishes, plus a fourth. The consistency paid off: He finished the discipline with 11.10 points, a clear margin ahead of the rest of the fleet and enough to secure the Fin Slalom title outright.
The result capped a strong week for the Kiel-based dentistry student, who has been one of the most reliable performers in the Fin Slalom class throughout the 2026 California Windsurf Cup season.
For Neilpryde, Leo's Fin Slalom title is a strong finish to the season and continues to underline the brand's presence at the top of Germany's premier windsurfing tour.
