Kit De Jong crowned PWA Youth Champion – double title for the Bonaire rocket!

Big congrats to Kit and Lone De Jong and to Diederik Leemans on a phenomenal PWA Youth season.

What a season! We are beyond proud to announce that Kit De Jong is the new PWA Youth Champion in both the U21 Girls Foil Slalom and the U17 Girls Fin Slalom.

Kit has been on a different level all year. In Bonaire she won every single heat of the U17 Fin Slalom, regularly beating the boys to the finish line along the way. She then took the same form to Cold Hawaii, where she won the U21 Foil and U17 Fin titles. Fast, fearless and incredibly consistent – that’s the recipe for a double world title. Huge congratulations, Kit!

And the De Jong family celebration doesn’t stop there: Kit’s twin sister Lone De Jong finished a strong 2nd place in both categories, U21 Girls Foil and U17 Girls Fin. Having both sisters on the podium in both disciplines shows just how much talent and drive there is on the Bonaire team. Congratulations, Lone – an amazing season!

Another big shout-out goes to Diederik Leemans, who secured 2nd place in the U21 Boys Foil Slalom. He fought for every point all season, and his battles on the foil were some of the most exciting races on the Youth Tour. Well done, Diederik – congratulations on a fantastic result!

To Kit, Lone, Diederik and everyone behind them: thank you for an unforgettable season and congratulations from the entire NeilPryde team. We can’t wait to see what’s next! 🌊💨
