Yentel Caers Crowned 2025 World Champion!

Sylt is often known for producing some of the most hardcore and challenging Freestyle conditions there are. Day 8 of the 2025 Citroën Windsurf World Cup Sylt delivered world class conditions as strong winds, albeit it on the chilly side, combined with perfect kickers to produce skatepark-like conditions.

When you give some of the world’s most talented sailors a canvas to display their true artistry, you are rewarded with breathtaking results and this day will go down in Freestyle history for a couple of reasons. Firstly, we saw a world’s first as the contest was judged purely via drone, while the Freestylers continued to raise the bar on what is possible with new moves and combinations being landed to cap a truly groundbreaking day for Freestyle.

Yentel was at the very top of his game during the entire day as he broke the 40 point barrier in three out of the four heats he sailed and once again showed how good he is at sailing under pressure - when it matters most. Yentel looked cool calm and confident on the beach in between heats and put on insane shows every time he hit the water.

This 3rd World Title equals Ricardo Campello's record and proves Yentel to be truly one of the greatest freestylers of all time.

Some humble words from our champion of champions:

"Hard work, passion, and the right people by my side. Made all of this possible 🤩😍

Big thanks to my family, Friends and sponsors!!"
