Pierre Mortefon Wins Tenerife on NeilPryde Sails

Huge congratulations to Pierre Morton for winning the Slalom X discipline Hotel Playa Surf Hotel CBbC Tenerife El Medano Windsurf Grand Slam.

After a grueling year on tour, a serious calf injury before the Defi Wind which took 6 weeks of rehab work and finding out right before Fuerteventura that he would no longer be able to compete on his current sails, Pierre fought against all the odds to come into the final event of the year on top form.

When Pierre found himself in an uncertain situation regarding his sails, we were honored that he would choose to compete on NeilPryde for the final event of the year, and his chance to clinch the 2025 Slalom X World Title.

This was not a sponsorship deal, but a collaboration between our brand and one of the best slalom riders of the past decade, and Pierre did himself proud by winning the event in emphatic fashion, scoring 2 1st places and a 2nd as his final non-discarded results.

After the event, we were thrilled to see Pierre's incredible results and happy to see that our sails played their part in the victory, being ready to race at the very top level, right out of the bag.

We extend our sincere congratulations to Pierre on his remarkable victories!

We would also like to congratulate Maciek Rutkowski on a great event. Maciek finished 5th, on equal points with 4th place, and finished the year in 4th place overall. Although not quite what Maciek was aiming, for, he showed many moments of brilliance throughout the year and we are sure he has many more years of excellence ahead!

Nico Prien also raced incredibly well and finished the event in 6th place, taking home his first ever elimination victory on the fin in the fourth and final elimination, what a great way to end an excellent year!

Nico finished the year in 8th place overall. Congratulations Nico!
