From September 1st to September 8th, 2023, twenty-four young watersports enthusiasts embarked on an extraordinary journey at the Kids Camp, equipped with the latest NeilPryde and JP-Australia gear. This week-long adventure offered something for everyone, with an array of wind conditions ranging from light wind beginner conditions to strong breezes for the advanced. The conditions were perfect for all the kids, catering to both the windsurfers and the wingfoilers alike.
Guided by the expertise of Freestyle Windsurf World Champion Yentel Cears from Belgium and our dedicated coaching team, Garda locals Greta Marchegger, Nikkie Verhagen and VDW instructor Hendrik Holzauer, each child enjoyed a personalized and enriching experience. From perfecting their techniques to building a deeper understanding of the sports’ nuances, every participant achieved remarkable progress and gained newfound confidence.
Our days were filled with memorable excursions, including picturesque canoe tours, visits to the Ponale waterfall, stand-up paddle sessions, and a delightful pizza night under the Italian starry sky. The pizza night provided the perfect setting for our kids to share their experiences and celebrate their growth.
Our appreciation goes out to Watersport Segnana and its dedicated staff, whose support transformed this camp into an unforgettable and educational experience for our young windsurfers and wingers. Thanks to their dedication, the kids returned home with good memories and improved skills.
