Massive congratulations to Bruno Martini for winning the IFCA Fin Slalom World Championships in Hvide Sande, Denmark last weekend.
As we have come to expect from Denmark, the conditions provided a rollercoaster of action for the competitors and spectators alike.
The race crew sent the fleet out to race in the full spectrum of wind speeds during the event, everything from 7 to 45 knots.
All the competitors put on an amazing show, but Bruno rose to the top, winning 5 out of 6 eliminations, and qualifying for the final in the last race which was unfortunately not finished due to unfavourable wind conditions at the end of the last day. This display showed that Bruno was almost unbeatable in fin slalom racing in all wind strengths. Congratulations Bruno!!
In the masters division, Bora Kozanoglu once again proved himself to be a solid contender, having missed 2 races on the first day due to severe cramping in the 45 knot winds, Bora came back strong and rose up to claim the 3rd place on the event podium. Congratulations Bora!
And in the Youth category, Anton Richter also proved a force to be reckoned with, placing 3rd as well, actually ending up with equal points to 2nd place competitor Elliot Joly but dropping back to 3rd due to a tie-breaker.
Congratulations Anton on yet another great result!
The event overall was another huge success, so thank you to the organizers and everyone involved with making it a very special week in Denmark!
