My love for windsurfing began literally as a baby – when I
was on Maui with my parents. At just three years old, I got to go out on the
water with my dad for the first time, standing between his legs – and what can
I say: the moment we started planing, I was hooked! From that point on, I knew
I wanted to learn how to windsurf – and I absolutely had to have my own
Dragonfly sail!
When I was six, things really took off on Crete: planing,
using the harness, footstraps – I was all in. Last year, at ten years old, I
landed my first air jibe during the Young Gun Camp on Rhodes!
"Fight, fight, fight. “No way” doesn’t exist!"
A few years ago, when winging became more and more popular,
I immediately knew: I want to do that too! So I started practicing with a small
wing until I could confidently get up on the foil. Now, I love the combination
of both sports: when the wind is light, I go winging, and when it’s strong, I
usually prefer windsurfing.
My goals for this year? In windsurfing, I’m working on the
Spock and the Loop. In winging, I’m aiming for the Palau and the Backloop.
