A Quick Maui Trip

By Fabrice Beaux

Maui is just a short 45-minutes flight from my home base on Oahu. I had some business there to take care of and I owed Fele an outer island trip. She has been so good to me by helping with my Oahu video.

Besides being a beautiful woman and a great chick to hang out with, Ma Fele is also one of the best Filipino female windsurfers. I knew she would have a blast there.

Hookipa can be a crowded place. Its wave is one of the most powerful and radical in the world, and its rocks very unforgiving. It always takes me a few sessions to get used to it. Patience is the key out there; you have got to pay your dues, wait for your turn, and give the right-of-way to the surfers. In time you get rewarded with incredible waves.

Besides being one of the best windsurfing destinations on the planet due to its consistent wave-sailing conditions, Maui is also one of the most beautiful and scenic islands of the Hawaiian archipelago.
Check out Twin Falls on the way to Hana, it's a beautiful place to visit and say hi to my friend Manolo who sets up his Hemp Jewelry Shop there.

This was a short Maui trip but, as always, a good one. We made a video about it which we called “A QUICK MAUI TRIP”. I hope you will like it!
