2016 Formula Windsurfing World Festival

Filip Korczycki reports from the 2016 Formula Windsurfing World Festival where he took 4th spot overall, winning the Senior category.

"Last weekend we finished 2016 Formula Windsurfing World Festival in Greece. There was also World Championships for the Masters and Youth. There was a really strong fleet of over 60 competitors from many countries. The event was held in the beautiful Marathon bay near Athens with the accommodation in the Golden Coast Hotel right on the beach from where we were launching on the water," explains Filip.

"The organizers put a great effort to make the festival as great as possible. Only they were very concerned about the weather forecast which was showing unusually light wind. Luckily we managed to run 10 races in 5 days – some of them in really light winds."

"I am very happy about my result – I finished 4th overall just one point behind 3rd and also won the Senior category. My NP Evo8 sails were working great in changing wind conditions."
